Gilberte Dubé was born and raised in Sherbrooke, Quebec. She earned her degree at the Université de Sherbrooke in 1968 and went on to teach in high school and adult education programs.
Very socially active on different levels for many years, she is a frequent traveler in the United States. This and other experiences have made her realize the importance of acquiring a good vocabulary of currently used expressions to communicate her feelings spontaneously and to express her thoughts more skillfully.

Eugénie Fortin, whose mother and father were both French-Canadians, was born and raised in Westport, Massachusetts, and has lived most of her life in the United States. Educated in Westport and Dartmouth, she spent over twenty-five years teaching English and Language skills. In Canada, her ambitions have been realized in founding a private school of conversational English called Institute Jayson in which she still teaches and works as director.
She has spent the last ten years developing and perfecting a unique method of teaching conversational English to all ages.
She likes to feel that she has brought with her a part of her native country, especially in the form of everyday expressions.
